The other day I went to look at an amazing creative work space here in Malm. It was in an old factory with a black and white flagstone floor and formerly used as a boxing ring. Unfortunately the timing just wasn't quite right, but at some point in the near future I'd absolutely love to work in an industrial-style shared work space with other creatives like the one I stumbled upon. The Forge in Bristol, England fits the bill quite nicely in fact- and although in the wrong country, it would be an inspiring venue for an event, workshop or just getting together with others and coming up with new ideas! Absolutely loving the exposed bricks, spiral staircase and general relaxed feel of the space. Would it even feel like work if this was your studio?!

I am trying to dream up an event now, just so that I can hang out there for a few days there. Any ideas?  Blog workshop perhaps? See you there!

Get the look: DSR chair, source a vintage metal jug here, white sheepskin throw, this industrial floor light is similar, vintage crates.

How lovely is this vintage industrial swivel chair? Because.

Other fab studios and ateliers include the creative studio of Katrin Bth, the home and studio of a Danish carpenter, and the fabulous studio of an interior designer. Imagine if your office looked like this? And if it already does....pictures please!

Have a lovely day!

PS One word you should never use at work.  Agree or disagree?

We're all familiar with Post-it notes. After all, they've been around for 35 years (where would we be without the trusty canary yellow Post-it?!). That's why last week I was super excited to receive a package containing a whole load of Post-it products including the new larger size Post-it Super sticky Notes! Oh yes! With new size ranges from from XL to XXXL (yes, it's true 'super-size me' stuff going on there), lined or unlined - and in all kinds of vibrant colours such as yellow, pink, orange, purple, green and blue, I finally have a place for my extra long to-do-lists. And no excuse not to get my home office in order (a bit of organisation was well overdue *red face*!). I thought you might like to see the results...

Looking pretty organised don't you think (my man did a double take when he got home!)?!

I defy you not to love the larger size Post-it Super sticky Notes. I noticed they really are super sticky, super long lasting, can stick on almost anything and are super restickable too (that's a lot of 'supers'!). The only thing is my girls love them too, so they're disappearing at a rapid rate....another box please?

If you'd like to put them to the test, you can sign-up to receive a free sample in Sweden.

Notice how I still put the trusty smaller canary yellow ones to good use too?

This post is sponsored by 3M. However, all words are my own. I only ever collaborate with partners that I love and which I think you'll love too. Thank you for supporting the sponsors which make My Scandinavian Home possible.

Are you back at work this week? Or perhaps you've been working right the way through Christmas (guh!)? Either way, how often do you look around and think - this place seriously needs a make-over?! Today, I'm taking work space inspiration (and in fact, kitchen, dining and sitting room inspiration) from the design studio of Christien Starkenburg - the driving force behind Dutch interior design consultancy firm Interieur + and handmade furniture company SlowWood. Christien follows the philosophy "an interior is the natural projection of the soul'' - Coco Chanel, aspiring to design spaces for her clients using head, heart and a heavy dose of handmade - a philosophy which is projected in her (fab) personal studio too. Let's take a peek inside and prepare to feel inspired....

Interieur Plus

Could you work here? I most definitely could!

Looking at this studio takes me back to my days in the corporate world where I used to sit in a giant  open-plan office by a window (on luckier days) overlooking a car park and a motorway - it was my wonderful colleagues which kept me going! Today I'm master of my own work space (which also features on the front cover of this book!) and it makes such a difference to my working day. Is your office environment important to you?

I spy - Jill Wood chair in natural oak and Lounge chair and Ottoman (15% discount with code MYSCAN), Z1 cotton light, source round jute rugs here (love this one!) try here for a selection of lovely poufs (I like this Burlap one!), Lampe Gras wall lights. The beautifully crafted table can be purchased through Christien's handmade wood furniture company SlowWood.

Could Railings be a similar match to that wonderful colour seen in the kitchen and dining room?

For a real work space inspiration bonanza today you might want to check out this archive or this board - I know you're meant to be working, but hey, a stitch in time saves nine and all that...

I'd love to hear about your work space in the comment section below!

Have a wonderful day!
